Here, I celebrate and affirm your love no matter what your love looks like. I know the wedding industry was built on a foundation of whiteness, thinness, and cisheteronormativity.
Lauren and Sean wanted to do something a bit out of the ordinary with their wedding. They knew they wanted a small intimate ceremony and then they wanted to take portraits in their favorite places. They shared their vows and made their marriage official at a city hall in their home state of California. Then, they traveled to one of their favorite cities (New Orleans duh) to get cute pictures at all their favorite spots.
When Lauren and Sean started dating, Sean took Larnen to Brenens and the staff asked if they were celebrating anything special. Sean confidently said, “yes, our anniversary” and the full royal treatment followed. They got a banner at their seats and extra attention to make their anniversary as special as possible. At the end of the Dinner, the server asked “How long have you been married” to which they responded “we have been dating for 4 weeks” lolololol
Now, on this trip to New Orleans, they returned to Brenan’s, but this time as a married couple. Congratulations Lauren and Sean!
