Jack and DE’lia planned to have an after-dark wedding in New Orleans and brought me along as their New Orleans wedding photographer. We started the day at a charming French Quarter house that belonged to the family of one of the bridesmaids, it was perfectly photogenic and a beautiful place to start our day. DE’lia chose to have the bridesmaids all wear deep emerald green dresses with celestial-inspired earrings and white florals. The long velvet bridesmaids dresses were perfect for this winter wedding.
A shortlist of cool details this couple did to make their wedding unique includes
- Playing the harry potter themed before D’Elia walked down the aisle
- After the first kiss, the walked back down the aisle to the white stripes “Fell in love with a girl”
- The bridesmaids’ dresses were all unique but unified with a deep v-neck. I had never seen someone do this unifying detail and it photographed beautifully!
- They rented their bridesmaids bouquets and groomsmen boutonnière – It is such a logical and beautiful way to be budget and eco conscious. They did real florals for the bride and groom, the rented florals were from Something borrowed blooms.
