Felicity Church Wedding | New Orleans Wedding Photographer | Matt + Carly

FILED IN: wedding

Matt and Carly had their New Orleans Wedding at Felicity Church surrounded by friends and family. Their wedding was full of heirlooms and making sure everyone had the night of their lives.

When I arrived, everyone was laughing, listening to music and breaking into spontaneous dance parties. The first thing I photographed was a stuffed bear that was made for Carly by her Aunt Susie. The bear was made of a formal dress her late grandmother wore and stuffed with a few hankies from her grandfather. Having her grandparents there in spirt just added to how special this day was. Every detail was beautiful and so full of meaning.

The ceremony was lead by an uncle and was followed by a second line and one of the best dance parties I have ever been to! The stage was taken full advantage of with Matt serenading Carly with “I want it that way” by the Backstreet Boys. There wasn’t a soul in the house who wasn’t up on their feet dancing the night away.

Congratulations Matt and Carly!

Here is what the bride had to say:

“Tia is truly the best thing you could ever hope for in a wedding photographer. She is SO passionate and makes taking wedding pictures SO MUCH FUN. She is such a genuine person and makes everyone feel so comfortable while also capturing the perfect little moments from the day.

I have been in weddings in the past where the photos seemed so forced and took FOREVER and in others where the photos were so unorganized and everyone was all over the place. I was nervous that this might happen with our wedding because both myself and my husband have large families and we had a pretty big bridal party. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised with how smooth and organized our pictures were. I honestly don’t know how she did it – Tia is so organized and made sure everything was set in place with our schedule so we didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of. Every single person in our wedding was amazed at how incredible she was at being able to capture beautiful authentic pictures of our group while also making sure it is so much fun for everyone there.

She truly captured everyone’s personalities in the most authentic way and never held back from getting the “perfect shot” — even if it meant her literally laying on the ground to get the perfect angle.

So many of our guests have already asked us for her contact information for their own engagements/weddings. I truly can not recommend her enough! If you’re looking for someone who will provide you with the most unique and creative photos that capture the personalities of everyone, someone who will capture even the small intimate moments of the day, someone who will make you laugh, and someone who will make even the most awkward girl (me) feel like a model – Book Tia.”
