Katelyn and Kacie got married at the Barn at TH Farms surrounded by friends and family. Being a queer photographer myself, it is always such an honor to photograph lesbian weddings and getting to know these two brides over the year leading up to their wedding was an honor. We started the day at a Marriot hotel with little details of Christmas as the brides put on their final touches. Both brides chose to wear full-length lace gowns and neither saw the other dress until the first look! After the first look, the two brides took a moment alone and we snapped some portraits.
The ceremony was short, sweet and meaningful. I was touched with the stories of their travels and the vows they made to each other. At the reception, I was super impressed with all of the partner dancing! This group new how to bust a move and take FULL advantage of the big dance floor at the Barn at TH farms!
Here is what the couple had to say:
Tia was absolutely amazing. We took engagement pictures with her almost an entire year before our wedding and knew how great she was then, but she completely blew us away for our wedding. First of all, she’s incredibly thorough and detailed when planning before the wedding. I didn’t have to worry about anything with Tia because I knew she was already on it. Second of all, for the day of the wedding, we were running very behind schedule and both my wife and I were super stressed. Tia always remained calm and positive and even pulled us away from our Bridal Party to take pictures by ourselves and chill out before our ceremony (we did a first look). Throughout the wedding, Tia had all sorts of creative suggestions for pictures and would just tell us to trust her, and we did, and our pictures came out AMAZING. Third of all, Tia gave us a sneak peek literally the morning after our wedding. She was awesome to work with, and I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!
