Matt and Mallory planned their New Orleans Wedding to make sure all of their guest had the full New Orleans experience! Matt’s family is originally from the area while most of Mallory’s family came in from the midwest for the celebration!
The morning started at two separate historic bed and breakfasts in the French Quarter where each of the wedding parties “big enough to be a small army” as described by the bride, were getting ready. Each of the wedding parties were hanging out, sipping drinks, and talking about how excited they were for the festivities to begin!
When the time came, we began to walk a few blocks to reach the Cabildo for the ceremony. On our walk, the streets were crowded with tourist that all parted ways for us to walk through. Something about having a giant wedding dress in your group really gets everyone in the spirt! While walking it was a constant celebration as everyone cheered, congratulated, and took photos of the beautiful bride.
The ceremony was sweet and personal leaving few dry eyes in the crowd. Matt and Mallory exchanged vows which echoed their commitment to family and to each other.
As soon as the ceremony ended, we all rushed downstairs to hear the bass of the tuba leading the way for our second line! We paraded down Bourbon street with a stop at Jean Lafitte’s were cups of purple drink were all lined up waiting for us (THIS IS GENIUS BY THE WAY. Future couples take note! Having a planned drink stop was awesome!)
The reception started with a beautifully choreographed dance that included twirls, swirls and lifts! Everyone was impressed! Once the dance floor opened the party was ON! And it did not stop until last call for the confetti exit! I am sure all guests of Matt and Mallory’s wedding will be reliving this night for years to come.
Cheers to the newlyweds!!
