Taylor and Michael came into New Orleans to have a New Orleans Board of Trade wedding. When I arrived the bride and her maids were prepping in a side room and applying finishing touches. I quickly scooped away the dress to photograph the details while they completed the bouquets and made everything beautiful. The groom and his men, on the other hand, were enjoying cigars and beers at a bar around the corner. After I photographed the Bride and her Bridesmaids, I was waiting on the groom to show up for his portraits (I always seem to run around 5-10 minutes early!) but then it dawned on me. Should I really wait to photograph him in this floral courtyard? Taylor had told me that Michael would be wearing a classic black tux so I opted instead to walk around the corner and grab a few shots of the groom with the skyscrapers in the background!
This wedding was so unapologetically Taylor and Micheal. Every guest just kept gushing about how every detail from the buckets of beer to the long sleeve lace dress to the cake in the shape of a fish, everything was so special to this couple. The highlight of the night was when the groom took to the stage to sing an original song. JUST LOOK AT THE BRIDES REACTION! It was so sweet and everyone in the crowd was misty-eyed.
