Kari and Fernando decided to have a small New Orleans Wedding and invited me along as their photographer! Their goal was to have something a bit bigger than an elopement but keep it simple and focused on the most important things: their relationship and their closest community.
Arriving at Chophouse, everyone was fluttering about finishing final details. Their friends were making sure flowers were in the right spot, practicing where to stand during the ceremony and cracking jokes. The whole morning everyone had smiles ear to ear.
A few of their closest friends, surprised the couple by arriving in disguises (check out those photos below!! lol!) The groom didn’t expect to seem them which added to the overall feel of celebration.
Kari and Fernando chose to keep it traditional with the first look happening as she walked down the aisle. When he started to get misty eyed at the alter everyone else began to tear up. The ceremony was so intimate and personal in a tiny private courtyard, it was truly magical.
During their vows, they shared stories of how they met on Bumble by chance because they were both traveling to the same town at the same time. How that chance internet meeting quickly became a chatty relationship over texts, which lead to a first date to a cubs game and now a marriage! On their first date, the two spent the whole game chatting and getting to know each other (and Fernando showing Kari photos of multiple of his relatives with Elvis which I really would like to see!)
After the Ceremony, they danced and celebrated their marriage! Congratulations to Kari and Fernando!
