Here, I celebrate and affirm your love no matter what your love looks like. I know the wedding industry was built on a foundation of whiteness, thinness, and cisheteronormativity.

Alexis and Ben chose to fly all the way from the San Francisco Bay area to have a colorful pharmacy museum wedding here in New Orleans.
When I arrived at the bridal suite (the Louie) everyone was buzzing about putting together the final details of the day. I was struck my Alexis’s choices of bright tropical colors and gold accessories. Her bridal style was GOALS with her dress from loho. Ben prepared for the day just down the street at the “Dr. Nut” house in the Marigny.
After everyone was ready, we headed to the off for the Pharmacy Museum wedding. We arrived as Pistil and Stamen were putting the final touches on the arch and Girls in Black were coordinating everything beautifully.
Ben and Alexis chose to do personal vows. Their vows were filled with references to their dogs, and jokes about how even when they are old and in a retirement home that they will be the cool couple everyone wants to hang out with. These two have been together for over 10 years and are so clearly perfect for each other.
After the ceremony, we all headed next door to the Napolean house for a three-course meal and a night of dancing!
Congratulations Ben and Alexis!
